How to install

1MEASURE

From inside to inside of the door jamb and or rough opening

We suggest leaving 1/2” gap on each side and on top.

2CHECKLIST

Make sure you have all the necessary items prior from moving forward to the next steps.

Door jamb, door slab, glass (if applies), weather strip, door sweeps, iron handles (if applies)

3REMOVE TRIM AND EXISTING DOOR

If NEW CONSTRUCTION skip to STEP 4

TRIM:

Place jamb on exterior edge and
carefully take out all the molding

JAMB:

Unscrew the door from jamb and
remove the existing door

4INSTALL DOOR SWEEPS ON DOOR SLAB

Image

We suggest to add liquid nail to the door sweep prior from placing on the bottom of the door, then for best results use auto-drill screws to secure it to the unit

When the unit is longer than the door sweep you will be provided with an additional piece that you can cut to fit the width

5INSTALL DOOR JAMB

We suggest to add liquid nail to the floor area before placing the jamb into desired position.

Make sure jamb is free of movement and make sure it is leveled and alligned

6PLACE DOOR ON JAMB

Carefully lift door on a 90 degree angle, place the door into the hinges and slide slowly into place

DOUBLE DOORS:

Once doors are in place rectify the alignmet and make adjustments if needed until the unit is completley squared up and working properly.

DRILL FOR FLUSHBOLT:

Mark the top jamb and the bottom threshold with tape to identify drilling ranger

Once verified use a regular drill with 1/2” drill bit to make the preparation for the flushbolts to latch properly.

7HANG GLASS PANEL (FOR WROUGHT IRON DOORS W/OPERABLE GLASS

Carefully lift glass on a 90 degree angle, place the glass into the hinges and slide slowly into place. Once glass is set into place latch for it to close

8INSTALL HARDWARE AND ADJUST ROLLERCATCH (IF APPLIES

Install hardware and adjust rollercatch to latch they way that works best for you.

If applies, bolt iron handles into the door until secured, do not over tight

9APPLY SEALS

Identify the different seals and apply each on the designated area. You should have weather stripping for door jamb, astregal (if applies) and glass frame (for wrought iron doors with operable glass panel).

10COVER

We always encourage our customers to cover the units when the project is a remodel and or a new construction to avoid any unnecessary damage on your masterpiece.

If some scrateches are done while installation and or construction we encourage to use the provided touch up kit to cover the areas asap
